The heat is on as our team of dedicated Summer Camp interviewers scour the country to find 2009’s ultimate Summer Camp Counsellors … but there is still time to apply if you think you’re up for the challenge. Ross Dwyer, BUNAC’s Summer Camp Co-ordinator and a 9-time camp returner says; "I’m still enjoying it after 9 years and I can’t think of anything I’d rather do over the summer. I’m already planning season number 10!" |

Don’t forget if you’re a full-time student without childcare experience you can work on camp in support role. BUNAC’s Kitchen And Maintenance programme KAMP USA, gives you the opportunity to experience summer camp without directly looking after children. You’ll have more time off and a higher salary than your camp counselor colleagues.

| Congratulations to participants departing this month on the 2009 BUNAC working holiday Canada programme. It’s pretty common knowledge that these flexible 12-month working visas, only available through BUNAC, are like gold dust! Since opening the programme back in December we have been inundated with applications. There are still a few places left on the programme so if you’re intending to head out to Canada this summer or in time for the 2010 Olympics you need to get those skis on…

| Considering its size New Zealand has an almost overwhelming number of sights to see and things to do not to mention the extreme sports! We did a quick survey of everyone in the office that has been to New Zealand and here's our BUNAC top highlights of working and travelling in NZ: Sky diving over Lake Taupo, Hiking over the Tongariro Crossing (my personal favourite!), Visiting the Milford Sound or Bungee jumping... |

| With the whole of the UK gripped by the credit crunch it can be disheartening to hit a wall of prohibitively high costs. But with programmes costing as low as £749 for a 2 month placement on Volunteer Ghana or £250 for a 10 week conservation project on Volunteer USA, BUNAC’s primary concern is to ensure you have a worthwhile volunteering experience and your involvement will directly benefit the local community and environment. (It helps that we're non-profit!) |
